We place safety as a priority, conducting full risk assessments, using experienced and qualified staff, giving clear instructions to young people in line with their ability and understanding. However all activities include the chance of minor injuries such as bumps and bruises or (less likely) minor fractures. When you make a booking you accept that, unless caused by neglegance, SAC accept no responsibility for accidents or injuries or loss or damange to personal property. You will be asked to declare any medical or behavioural needs that affect the ability of SAC to keep all participants safe.
Managing people in outdoor and adventurous activities requires joint leadership and responsibility between SAC and participants.
All bookings are on the basis that participants will, at all times, observe the safety regulations set by Summer Adventure Camp.
Summer Adventure Camp reserves the right to exclude any persons whose behaviour would become a safety risk to themselves or other participants. There will be no refund for persons excluded from a camp.
Participants will be involved in adventurous and sometimes strenuous activities. Although prior experience and/or training are not necessary participants are expected to be of good general health (unless specifically declared in advance)
All prior injuries and/or serious illnesses must be declared. Any injury or illness occurring between the time ofbooking and the commencement of the camp must be reported.
Summer Adventure Camp reserves the right to refuse a booking on medical or behavioural grounds if it is considered to be detrimental to the safety and smooth running of the camp..
Where Summer Adventure Camp provides food this will be bought specifically for that camp based on the allergen information provided at the time of booking.
It is the responsibility of the booker and participants to inform Summer Adventure Camp of any allergens.
Summer Adventure Camp is insured to deliver our activities as advertised and further details may be requested. Summer Adventure Camp may take photographs or video during the camp. See our Privacy Policy.
Consent will be sought and retained for any photographs or video used for marketing purposes. These images remain the property of Summer Adventure Camp
All information passed to Summer Adventure Camp will be treated as confidential and will not be passed to third parties.
Customers should know that information will be passed to Summer Adventure Camp staff as is appropriate for the safe and successful running of the activities and camp. Where necessary, for example in the case of an emergency, Summer Adventure Camp will share information with the emergency services or appropriate authorities.
Camp consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that camp actually runs, Summer Adventure Camp will notify the customer of cancellation as soon as practicable where it believes on reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and/or unsuitable conditions for the camp.
In the event of cancellation customers will be offered the choice of the following options
