Work Experience at Summer Adventure Camp

Join the team.

If you are reading this it probably means that you have been to camp before and that we have seen how you interact with the other participants, and most importantly have been impressed by you. You will have probably had a chat with one of the staff about getting work experience at camp and you have said yes! Thats great.

At Summer Adventure Camp we believe that it is part of our responsibility not only to bring great people into our team but also to give you a realistic experience of work and all that entails. For this reason please have a look at the steps below so you understand what you need to do.

1. Applying for work.

Please can you email us telling us why you would like to work at Summer Adventure Camp, what strengths you have and how that can help the team and what you would like to gain from this experience.

2. Getting Ready for work

2.1 Part of the process of getting ready for work includes completing some online training, this helps you understand some of your responsibilities BUT is also great for you on your CV when you apply for other jobs in the future. Please look at this page and follow the instructions.

2.2 Please keep in contact with Becci so you know where and when you will be working. We will add you to the Whatsapp group for camp.

3. Coming to work

Coming to work ( which is different to coming to camp as a participant) can be a daunting experience. However we have invited you to do Work Experience with us because we have seen something we admire in you. So bring that enthusiasm / kindness / care / willingness to help that we saw - double it - and you will fit in with the team.

You will need a packed lunch and suitable clothes - you have been to camp so you know what this means. If you are not sure - ASK.

4. Getting Paid

Yes we are willing to pay you even though it is 'Work Experience'. How much we pay depends on how old you are and if you have done Work Experience with us before. We will ask you to complete an invoice and email it to us - don't worry we will help you with this.
